Designing a website for any client is a challenging process. But, designing a website for a DESIGN firm is even more challenging — especially if the firm is your own! This is why the team that created the new Taylor & Ives website is particularly pleased about it being featured on Minimal Exhibit, a showcase of the most successful minimalist sites on the web. V.P. and Creative Director Alisa Zamir and Art Directors Trevor Paccione and Curtiss Calleo decided early on that their company’s website needed to be clear and uncluttered to allow the wide range of visual samples to speak for themselves. They are pleased that they have achieved their goal.

Taylor & Ives just completed the 2009 Annual Report for the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC). DTCC is a very long standing client who is celebrating a decade of “Making a Difference.” DTCC was formed in 1999 by joining The Depository Trust Company (DTC) and National Securities Clearing Corporation (NSCC). Back then, Taylor & Ives created a new identifier for the company, as part of undertaking a total rebranding and interwove the theme of the 1999 Annual Report with the launch of that new mark. To celebrate the tenth anniversary of DTCC, Taylor & Ives interwove the design elements of the 1999 Annual Report with those of this year’s theme.

Taylor & Ives collaborated with The Mount Sinai Medical Center to create a new brand identity for National Doctors’ Day, which honors physicians for making a difference each day in the lives of many people. March 30th is a day that has special meaning for many – especially those who have experienced the professional insights and remarkable ability to connect with patients that define a great physician.

Taylor & Ives just completed a video project for The Magazine Publishers of America, one of the world’s leading magazine associations. The video titled “Covering The Decade: The Story Of The Century’s First 10 Years As Told Through Magazine Covers” debuted on the AdAge website (adage.com) on January 11th. Continue reading →

Every year, the government of Taiwan invites leading international designers and professors to China and judge a competition to select 30 top students for full scholarships in leading design programs abroad. Last month, Alisa Zamir, Taylor & Ives’ Executive Vice President and Design Director and a long time professor at Pratt Institute’s Graduate Communications and Design Program, spent the week at the National Yunlin University of Science and Technology, Digital Media Design Center lecturing students and judging their work.
